Early furniture and works of art deserve a website that treats each piece like the object it is. We built Marhamchurch Antiques a website shaped around a custom stock catalogue, image-led up front and simple to run behind the scenes.
Solution
A custom WordPress theme built around the stock
We designed the site in Figma first, then built it as a custom WordPress theme with a stock catalogue shaped around how Paul actually works.
The look stays restrained and image-led, so every piece gets the room it deserves and the catalogue stays quick to manage.
The build
Details that set it apart
Stock that is quick to manage
Items are tagged by piece type and century with simple checkboxes. Dimensions flip between centimetres and inches, and circa-year and period fields keep every entry documented.
Every piece shown properly
Each item gets its own page with a lightbox gallery and zoom, set against a light backdrop so the object stands out.
Built to turn interest into a conversation
Three WPForms Pro forms handle newsletter signups and antique enquiries, wired to Mailchimp so interest turns into a conversation.
Designed in Figma first
Banner concepts, template layouts and hover states were worked out in Figma before a line of code was written.
Current stock and a full archive
A live Current Stock listing sits alongside an Archive holding thousands of sold pieces.
An image-led, restrained brand
A neutral taupe palette, a Flemish tapestry hero and the MA monogram give every piece room to breathe.

Delivery
Delivered white-label with Dancing Badger
A design and build delivered white-label for Dancing Badger, the Devon agency who own the client relationship. The end client is Paul Fitzsimmons, a dealer in early oak since 1991. We handled the Figma design, the custom WordPress theme and its stock catalogue, then handed it over for go-live in around six weeks. Since launch, the custom forms have been bringing in genuine antique enquiries and newsletter signups.
