Home Heroes had a GoDaddy builder site with next to nothing for Google to find. Notus rebuilt it as a proper web design project aimed squarely at local search around Gillingham.
The rebuild
Built for two named tradesmen, not a portal
Matt Underwood and Owen Edwards fit boilers, heat pumps and electrics across Gillingham, Shaftesbury and Wincanton. Their old GoDaddy site had no service pages, no location pages, and nothing for Google to rank on. Notus rebuilt it on WordPress in under three weeks, on an Essential-tier budget, with a dedicated page for every service and town, a tidied-up and modernised logo, real job photos throughout, and local SEO built in from day one targeting the exact searches people run before they pick up the phone.
The build
What actually changed
Live inside three weeks
Quote to launch took under three weeks, live days before the old GoDaddy site's cancellation deadline.
An affordable build, not a stripped one
Delivered on Notus's Essential tier, proof a two-man trade business can compete online without a big budget.
Built around real local searches
A dedicated page for every service and town, with redirects preserving old rankings, so search visibility was built in from day one, not bolted on after.
Working from day one
Three contact-form enquiries and two phone clicks landed in the first week alone, with genuine local jobs continuing to land since.

Delivery
Live in under three weeks, working within one
Home Heroes went live on 20 August 2026, days ahead of the old site’s cancellation deadline: a full set of service and location pages targeting Gillingham, Shaftesbury and Wincanton, a tidied-up and modernised logo, and local SEO built in from day one. It got to work straight away, with three contact-form enquiries and two phone clicks in the first week alone, and genuine local jobs continuing to land since.
